Famiglia, sofa, 2024

The Familia Sofa is the first truly 50/50 collaboration between Mario and his wife Gabriella. The goal was to create a large cloud like surface of comfort for the home that everyone could fall on together in rest and enjoy. The softness and deconstructed nature of the feathers and rounded shapes juxtapose but also complement the more geometric, defined and delicate elements in Mario’s work. The one large back cushion declinates the unity and togetherness, while the removable armrests offer an aspect of dynamism and adaptability as they can be moved around and used as cushions or headrest.
